Ilse Kim

Hola, mi nombre es Ilse Kim y es mi primer año trabajando como Coordinadora de exámenes en la escuela EJE Academies. Es un gran placer para mí ser parte de esta escuela y trabajar en conjunto con los maestros y administración para brindarles a nuestros estudiantes las mejores herramientas necesarias para sobresalir en cualquier examen que se les aplique. Soy graduada de la Universidad Estatal de San Diego con una licenciatura como maestra de primaria. Trabaje como tutora del programa AVID por 3 años y después como maestra suplente en preparatoria por 6 años. En esos 6 años me toco organizar y administrar diferentes exámenes estatales, por lo cual me di cuenta lo estresante que puede ser tomar el examen para los estudiantes. Mi meta como coordinadora de exámenes es crear un ambiente menos estresante, en el cual los estudiantes se sientan cómodos al tomar el examen requerido, pero siempre dándole la gran importancia que implica un examen estatal. Y por supuesto apoyar a nuestros maestros para que puedan utilizar los resultados de los exámenes como herramienta para brindarles a los estudiantes lecciones más personalizadas dependiendo sus necesidades. Espero con ansias conocer a todos los estudiantes y apoyarlos en los necesario para que sobresalgan como excelentes personas!

Hi, my name is Ilse Kim and it is my first year working at EJE Academies as the Assessment Coordinator. It is a great pleasure to be part of this school and work along side the teachers and administration to give our students the best tools of support necessary to do their best in any exam that comes their way. I graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Liberal Studies. I worked as a tutor in the program AVID for 3 years and then worked as a high school substitute teacher for 6 years. During those 6 years as a substitute teacher I also got the opportunity to organize and administer many state exams and I noticed how stressful exams can be to students and teachers. Mi goal as an Assessment Coordinator is to create a stress free environment for students as much as possible so that they feel comfortable and capable when they do have to take exams. Of course that implies that I will make sure I also provide support to the teachers so that they utilize any results to create more personalized lessons for the students depending on their individual necessities. I am looking forward to meeting the students and supporting them and teachers in any necessary way to help them achieve their goals and become excellent human beings!
