Maestro Mehta's English/Historia classes

Course Description

Welcome to Maestro Mehta’s 7th grade class! I am very excited to share my passions for English and History/Social Studies with you. These classes will focus on your voice. How can you represent your identity through your voice? Through this process, we will grow to be humbled and proud of who we are.

All course content will be made relevant to our lives. If you are at any point wondering why we are learning what we are learning, then I am not fulfilling my role as your teacher. As a result, we will frequently ask ourselves, “Why is this important?” and “How does this relate to me?”

Curiosity is the highest level of intelligence, and I encourage students to be critical advocates for their right to a quality education. Education=opportunity, and I want as many doors open for you by the time you graduate high school in 2021.

  2. Wonder books will be collected on Thursday and I will grade your annotations. The PowerPoint presentation has been uploaded to Google Classroom so you can catch up on any missing annotations and exit tickets.
  3. On Friday we will be submitting our answers from the summative, end-of-the-unit, end-of-the-year assessment into EADMS. These will be graded over the weekend.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
