The EJEA Board of Directors is responsible for the following:
  1. Establishing general policies of the school
  2. Hiring and evaluating the Executive Director and School Principal
  3. Approving and monitoring the school’s budget
  4. Developing and monitoring an operational business plan that focuses on student achievement and financial viability
  5. Soliciting and receiving grants and donations consistent with the mission of the school
  6. Approving the school’s personnel policies and monitoring their implementation
  7. Contracting with Cajon Valley Unified School District for operation oversight and direct services
  8. Selecting the school director and/or any other upper management personnel
